Poor Service by TCS employees

My parents shared with me their experience of renewing the passport in this office and the TCS employees so called 'service'!!! A rep has asked my dad as to why he has to come over to see me( I stay in a foreign nation). Isnt this a dumb question to ask a dad why he wants to visit his daughter?! Holy Shit! Had i been there, i wouldn't have bothered about my passport but given them back with appropriate answers!

They drill down the applicants will irrelevant questions and irritate them. And these people fear that their passport will be at stake and take the shit! I believe TCS reps have inherited this attitude since they have the authority to delay the passports if people speak a word against them.

It seems that an applicant had chosen for 72 page application(general human tendency to choose the biggest of choices) and during the interview the TCS representative has asked what his salary was. The applicant has mentioned Rs.3000 per month. The rep has commented in a very cheek tone that with this salary he doesn't even need a passport and definitely not 72 pages and chose the least of 18 pages! How does it matter to the Rep as to if he can visit countries?! Even the other countries VISA officers do not ask such questions to let them inside their Country.

These kind of treatments are ridiculous. I don't think we are improving any service in India but deteriorating in the name of betterment! And a service from a brand like TCS is really disappointing. They have lost mind-share of many youngsters who would've once thought high abt the company.

Poor Service by TCS employees

Passport Seva - One of the most repugnant and lethargic services I have come across in my entire life. I have heard that the employees who facilitate this Passport "Seva" are from TCS. If that is true, I really cannot forgive TCS for recruiting such Dumb and egoistic employees who:

1. Do not know what are the actual Procedures
2. Do not give a damn about the people who are in need of this Service.
3. Do not know how to interact with people irrespective of their age.
4. Do not follow the protocols mentioned to them.

Let me explain what (I'm sorry to say this) BULLSHIT i have been through...

1. Application of the Passport
You say that you do "Seva" but by the time I log on to your website and file and application for my passport, the website just hangs into glory. All I can do on that website is improve my typing skills by repeating the captcha codes that keep occurring every time I try to apply for a time slot.

2. The Proof
Yes, now I have successfully applied to one time slot after a million attempts and then I read the documents that I need to present to get my passport. (Yes, I have them all)

3. At the Centre (Entrance)
The location of this particular centre where we can apply is almost 15km away from the heart of the city. People who need to get there will have to exchange at least two buses to get to this Passport "Seva" Building. I came with my mother and the Guards make her wait outside in the scorching sun. How could these idiots have forgotten that a waiting room for the people would be necessary as only a few people would come in a city/country like this to a centre (which is so far away) alone.

4. At the Centre (Inside)
I go to the counter, give the person responsible to evaluate my application. They sluggishly take it look at at and look at the proof that I have and say that one of my proofs (Which is less prominent when compared to my Mark sheets, PAN Card, Voters ID, TC.) have a spelling mistake. They send me home. (Time at the centre - 30 Minutes)

I then spend 3 days trying to rectify that name change and spend some of my time trying to repeat steps 1 and 2. The entire horrible experience repeats again, and this time the idiotic/Sluggish/Lethargic/Dumb (TCS) employees of the Passport "Seva" tell me that I had to submit a completely different proof which I didn't have as the proof (which they had asked to rectify) was not necessary and they sent me away. (Time spent - 30 minutes)

It is really irritating even though when I have all the required proof and these amateurish employees who keep changing the terms and rules according to their whims. The moment you disagree with a point that they have made, they would make sure that you would never get your passport that day.
And Mind it, I am not the only one who has undergone this. I hope I am able to represent the other people who have faced this crap from Passport "Seva"

Please adhere (at least a bit) to your tagline - Service Excellence
