TNEB No response for DEFECTIVE METER Status, But its working properly. Need Refund

Dear Sir/Madam,


We are staying in No.5, Bharath Flats , Easwaran koil 2nd street in gowripet , Avadi , chennai - 600054, From past July'2011 onwards my Status of meter in Record is DEFECTIVE METER, But the meter is working properly. After the complaint in TNEB at Avadi near Meenakshi Theatre on August month, the reading was entered with right data, but still the status is Defective Meter only....... Due to this we paid Rs.2052 x 2 on July & September'11. In TNEB they said that the amount will not be refunded, instead of that it will be adjusted in upcoming readings. But still NO ADJUSTMENT MADE, Still Status as DEFECTIVE METER. ANd now this month also they ve charged Rs.2600 for METER Re-installation, But Nothing did like that............ So kindly Refund the money or change that money as Advance payment. I have so much trust with our TNEB, Else this will be processed legally............

Defective Meter Status, But working properly, Till now Paid Rs.3600 due to this, Pls refund or Make it as advance payment

Unscheduled Power Cuts

sir my name is rajesh i am residing in chengalpattu in our area night 10 pm to 11 pm or mid night 12 pm to 1 pm the Tamilnadu Electricity Board carry out Unscheduled Power Cuts power cut daily It has been very difficult for us to sleep This has become a routine for the local TNEB staffs and the reason is unknown.and not getting any proper response from the electricity board.Complaints to their offices were never heard.

LOW VOLTAGE

I am the resident of Sri Ram Nagar Main Road, Ramapuram, Chennai. For the past ten days, in my street, I am getting very very low voltage power supply which the fan is not functioning between night 10 to morning 2 o clock. Moreover A/C is not at all working during night and now for the past two days even in the morning time itself it is very low voltage for which family members are suffering even in the day time itself.

So, I request you to register this as a complaint and request to arrange to rectify the same at the earliest as you know it is very hot season in chennai.
I was told by my brother-in-law who is residing at Valasaravakkam that once complaint made by them the TNEB people attended the same and rectified the fault by changing the cable as they have suffered for two days only. Whereas as we are suffereing for the past ten days in Sri Ram Nagar Main Road, Ramapuram, Chennai.

Hope to do the needful at the earliest.

sir, I have waiting for meter for EB connection for past 5 months. Now, the Govt, has decided that the consumers permitted to purchase the meter from their own cost. My question is which product EB meter is authorised by EB Department.Where it is available at Chennai, Kindly clear my doubt.

Voltage Fluctuation all through the day

I am a resident of Thirukkural 3rd Street, State Bank Colony, Chitlapakkam, Chennai 600064. Except for a month or so during the rainy/winter season, in all other months we face frequent voltage fluctuations. During the peak summer fluctuation is so severe that it has its effect all through the day which is more intense during the night. Even though we have power, fluctuation is so drastic that most of the time the inverter I have installed is running. But even this is not continuous as the power comes from inverter/actual power supply alternatively and this situation happens 4 to 10 times in a minute. With this it can be known how drastic is the voltage fluctuation. Atleast, during night times, to have good sleep, I need to permanently to switch over to inverter as there is no other alternative. Most of the electrical appliances is spoiled because of this and lot a money had to be spent toget it repaired. It seems that this kind of voltage fluctuation is prevailing only in our area which is because of many connections being provided to the Transformer to which we have our connection. Regarding this, I have talked with our area counseller but there is no proper response. It would be helpful if the concerned could look into this long pending issue and get it addressed at the earliest

Power Fluctuation during night time

Sir,
We are residents of Kolathur Sarojini Nagar, Ist street. It is come under Chennai Corporation Ward No 64 (Sakthivel Nagar Kolathur EB office ) for the past 25 days during night time particularly 9 p.m to 1.30 a.m continuously power fluctuation. Due to the power fluctuation Electric & Electronic items not function properly and some of the items are spoiled, hence power fluctuation age old people and children very much affected.

I request your good office to take appropriate steps to rectify power fluctuation and do the needful.

I eagerly awaiting for your reply.

TNEB Power cut for for 10 to 12 hours

Yes I am also a resident of Urapakkam and i too suffer the same. I have a 2 month old kid who is suffering from rashes because of the powercut. Please do only a 4 hour power cut as released in the gazette. We are also human beings. We are not able to afford a house in the city hence we have taken a rent of rs 3500. Please dont punish us.

TNEB LOW VOLTAGE

Low voltage for the last 2 months

I am residing in Andal Nagar, Adambakkam. Here low voltage for the last 2 months, Our Association had raised a complaint regarding the issue and the TNEB officials had stated that a new sub-station is the solution. However as a temporary solution thay had offered to install a transformer in the area. THey had installed poles for the transformers about 4 months back. Still they have not installed the transformer and when we ask them they say they dont have stock of the transformer. This is really unbearable, NO FAN, NO AC during day and night lost one stabilizer, this is really frustrating.

Nobody responding properly. Can someone help me to escalate this to higher authorities?

Dear sir,

I have paid the bill amount of Rs.7514.98/- (Including card charges) for Consumer No.176-038-160 through credit card of SBI on 03-05-2012 by online. But, the transaction truncated due to power failure during the process and my internet disconnected at fag end.The bill amount of Rs.7514.98/- debited to my card Account which has been confirmed by the SBI Cards and the same is claimbed by TNEB vide their ref NO: T 1212 5001 6001 2100 00185. Since the transaction is truncated I have made seperate payment immediatly for which receipt is generated.Please reply by email, the above amount claimbed by TNEB from SBI Cards will be refunded or excess amount of Rs.7514.98 will be adjusted in the next bill?

Voltage Fluctuation In the NIGHTS

I would like to bring it to your notice that we have extensive VOLTAGE FLUCTUATION in our area, someone has to do something about not by just ignoring the pubic and their needs, CHINMAYA NAGAR, the place whew i come from is going through a very CRUCIAL phase of electricity issues, I guess its time someone looks in solving this.

Pallikaranai EB office staff

Pallikaranai EB office staff attitude is very lethargic, I am residing in Labour colony second street, but till date no one has come for taking meter reading, but when I noted down the meter reading and given to the staff they just noted it down, and after two days I went to make my payment for electricity consumption,they said system is in default and again they asked me to furnish the meter reading, even after giving it for the second time no action has been taken by them. Today 28.5.2012, again we had to check it and give meter reading and then make payment. Can you not take action against such an irresponsible acts and also against those person who had to come for taking the meter reading on timely basis.

Hi,
I am staying in Mettukuppam, Thoraipakkam. We are facing a critical issue while paying electricity bill. Every time when I go to pay the bill, the computer or the link does not work. The time to pay the bill is also not sufficient. Its only 10 am to 12 noon. The person collecting the bill every time goes out of the office at 11:30am saying the computer is not working and also he answers "I HAVE SOME OTHER WORK' when asked the reason for leaving before time. Today I caught the guy while going out and made him stay back and see if the link is working or not. The officer in charge did not take any step to correct the link or show any kind of humanity towards the public who came to pay the bill and standing for hours in the queue in the mid day hot sun shine.

I could not find any customer care number in TNEB site.

Is there any body to see this issue ?

Power fluctuations

Dear sir,

We are facing voltage fluctation in Somanathapuram of Kolathur area, when we enquired to local office they stating that the issue with cable wire and they waiting from Head office for approval. We have being facing this issue every summer. Could you please take some immediate action to rectify this please.
