voltage fluctuation and power cut at night time

Dear sir,
I written the letter purpose of our area(Adyar, Indranagar, 18th cross st., 44/12) facing voltage fluctuation and power cut at night time. Our electrical home appliances fault regularly because of that voltage fluctuations. I regularly complaint Thiruvanmiyur EB station, but problem not rectified. Kindly request you to solve the problem regarding public interest and welfare. Thank you very much.

Dear Sir,


I am N Muthukumar, residing at Karaikudi at present. I have paid the TNEB Bill for Rs.320/- today (03/07/2012)for the SC NO 05048008631(Owner Name R Jeyanthi, G/Top2 Mithra Agrini project, Palanganatham, Palangantham sector DL) through online from my account (Transaction NO 808260086). I have not received the bill through online. Now in the online the bill status is shown as pending . I have tried to pay the bill again through online but the system not accepted and shown the message as payment already received.Now in the account summary also the bill amount is shown as pending and the date of payment column is nil. Please advise me how to get the amount and how to pay the amount through online.

abnormal reading(billing)

reading of unit 3990.size of the flat 1640sq ft. family of five. being summer, four of the members were not in chennai for 15 days.
record of 10 yrs can be produced in which highest reading was 1900 unit.complaint through letters given till 2010 for almost 12 times,reply recd only once.first time complaint was about minimum unit, due to fault in meter,that was attended with in few weeks but when complained about excess unit, it took months to replace.
need your justification,i am being tortured mentally and financially like anything....
please help.

Low voltage

We are the residents of 80th street, Dr Natesan Salai, Ashok Nagar, Chennai, here we are facing low voltage and frequent fluctuation in current for many many months. In spite of giving repeated complaints to the Electricity Board this problem is not rectified. Even the most commonly used electric equipments which are mandatory are not functional, we are running without water for days together as the motor pump is not working due to low voltage. We were earlier informed that the problem is due to our house being towards the end of distribution of power from the transformer which is quite a distance from our area, we were also informed that two new transformers have been allotted for our area whereas now after 5-6 months have passed but no sign of any improvement in fact the situation has worsened. Because of this issue, we do not even get the benefits of electrical equipments such as AC/Fridge/Washing machine on time, especially during these peak summer months. Families with infants and elders who are bed ridden are the most affected. It is our request that this matter be given some importance and looked into.

Low Power - Heavy Flectuvation.

Hi,

I am getting low power voltage & Heavy power fluctuation in my home.

I enquire my neighbours, they also facing same problem. Due to the above reason, my valuable things Fridge, Mixer grinder, Television, Computer & motor are repaired continuously. I am paying regular bills, but frequently i am paying extra charges for repairing electrical & electronics goods.

We found the problem due to transformer not able to supply continues power flow. Because one transform havening limits of power can give, but in our are one old company (Attai Company) takes max power & previously from that transformer 500 connections, but from the past two years area developed lot, i.e. more than 2000 connection taking from the single transform.

Our area people given the written complaint @ local EB office, still we are not getting solution for this problem.

Life is like bloody hell in madipakkam for the past 2 days. Every alternate hour, we have a power cut and the EB office (puzhuthivakkam) people are not even lifting the calls.

Yes, even in the day time the power cuts are more. Literally there is a 12 hr power cut per day from last 3 days. Power will be there for one hr and power cut for the next one hour. It is causing problem for the kids and old people. Please solve the issue at the earliest.

This power cut is not there in other areas like Velachery.

Yes ...I agree With Vicky..Really Its So Terrible Of All Workers And Students..But Power Cut Is Not Only In Nights But Also In Mornings To..Evry One Hour They Switch Off The Power Of Last 48Hrs...In Last 48Hrs POwer Is About 24Hrs Only...Children Cant Sleep In Nights..Hw They Can Go to School Next Day..Action TNEB Without Any Prior Information Is Harsh Action..Its Should Be Noted And Neccesay Action to Be Taken Immediately :(

Unnessary Power cut

I am resident of Coimbatore Rs Puram, and they are Cutting power at 5 in the morning, why does this happen? We don't mind TNEB cutting power during the day but why are they cutting at unearthly hours? Need a solution to this.

TNEB No response for DEFECTIVE METER Status, But its working properly. Need Refund

Dear Sir/Madam,


We are staying in No.5, Bharath Flats , Easwaran koil 2nd street in gowripet , Avadi , chennai - 600054, From past July'2011 onwards my Status of meter in Record is DEFECTIVE METER, But the meter is working properly. After the complaint in TNEB at Avadi near Meenakshi Theatre on August month, the reading was entered with right data, but still the status is Defective Meter only....... Due to this we paid Rs.2052 x 2 on July & September'11. In TNEB they said that the amount will not be refunded, instead of that it will be adjusted in upcoming readings. But still NO ADJUSTMENT MADE, Still Status as DEFECTIVE METER. ANd now this month also they ve charged Rs.2600 for METER Re-installation, But Nothing did like that............ So kindly Refund the money or change that money as Advance payment. I have so much trust with our TNEB, Else this will be processed legally............

LOW VOLTAGE

I am the resident of Sri Ram Nagar Main Road, Ramapuram, Chennai. For the past ten days, in my street, I am getting very very low voltage power supply which the fan is not functioning between night 10 to morning 2 o clock. Moreover A/C is not at all working during night and now for the past two days even in the morning time itself it is very low voltage for which family members are suffering even in the day time itself.

So, I request you to register this as a complaint and request to arrange to rectify the same at the earliest as you know it is very hot season in chennai.
I was told by my brother-in-law who is residing at Valasaravakkam that once complaint made by them the TNEB people attended the same and rectified the fault by changing the cable as they have suffered for two days only. Whereas as we are suffereing for the past ten days in Sri Ram Nagar Main Road, Ramapuram, Chennai.

Hope to do the needful at the earliest.

sir, I have waiting for meter for EB connection for past 5 months. Now, the Govt, has decided that the consumers permitted to purchase the meter from their own cost. My question is which product EB meter is authorised by EB Department.Where it is available at Chennai, Kindly clear my doubt.

Voltage Fluctuation all through the day

I am a resident of Thirukkural 3rd Street, State Bank Colony, Chitlapakkam, Chennai 600064. Except for a month or so during the rainy/winter season, in all other months we face frequent voltage fluctuations. During the peak summer fluctuation is so severe that it has its effect all through the day which is more intense during the night. Even though we have power, fluctuation is so drastic that most of the time the inverter I have installed is running. But even this is not continuous as the power comes from inverter/actual power supply alternatively and this situation happens 4 to 10 times in a minute. With this it can be known how drastic is the voltage fluctuation. Atleast, during night times, to have good sleep, I need to permanently to switch over to inverter as there is no other alternative. Most of the electrical appliances is spoiled because of this and lot a money had to be spent toget it repaired. It seems that this kind of voltage fluctuation is prevailing only in our area which is because of many connections being provided to the Transformer to which we have our connection. Regarding this, I have talked with our area counseller but there is no proper response. It would be helpful if the concerned could look into this long pending issue and get it addressed at the earliest
