1. Unwanted and unnecessary activation, promotional calls & and being charged….since past ONE YEAR

2. Unauthorized activation of the schemes and packages

3. Unnecessary disturbance all day, and that disturbs her sleep and health.


Some of the schemes and packages ACTIVATED AND CHARGED without our knowledge are as under :

• Matrimonial sites
• Cricket scores
• Jokes
• Airtel Radio
• Airtel talkies
• Caller Tunes, songs, ….. etc etc
• Some others too that are not yet known to us … as the staff was checking and call gets conviently disconnected.


Sir / Madam,

This is a VERY SERIOUS BREACH of trust by your “Airtel Company”, where I have now decided to take legal action and I will make sure this is in print in all leading newspapers.
There’s utter lack of responsibility and absolutely no accountability on the part of this unprofessional organization. It accounts to CHEATING, practically EVERY customer.

My mother is 74 years old and she just watches TV programs that too very few.

She brought this to my notice that there are messages and unnecessary calls throughout the day…
and I was shocked to find what is happening.

NOTE :

• She is in no state to re-marry or listen to jokes or cricket scores every day many times over.
• She does not even know how to operate the cell apart from receiving and making calls.
• She has NOT subscribed or authorized any schemes or packages what-so-ever.
• The disturbance level of ringing all day is unnecessary and that is affecting her sleep and health.
• Not to forget we have been CHARGED for all this.
Calling Airtel Customer Care is a saddening and frustrating affair and needs loads of time… as the call gets conviently disconnected or long waiting or no reply.

Visiting airtel galleries earlier too was frustrating … AND so as PROOF this time; is as follows…



On the above date and time I visited Airtel Gallery, Lokhandwala complex …
Spoke to Mr. UMESH… He could not help but he did connect me to another department where one MS DIPALI MOHAN K from ARC Dept. spoke to me… now here too the calls were getting disconnected.
This was from the gallery itself.
On wanting to speak to the manager I was told she/he also wasn’t present.
Mgr name : Ravinder Kaur.

Once again I was connected to Dipali who agreed after checking that some packages were activated and that CHARGES were DEDUCTED.

She could only check for the month from May 2010.

She later took my
contact number : 9702223334 and
email id : [email protected] and she said that she would consult her seniors and revert.

I have been WAITING………………………………………………………………………………….till date.

All I want now;

1. TOTAL deductions done since June 1st 2009 till DATE 17TH June 2010.
2. Stoppage of all these schemes, packages and unwanted calls.
3. Crediting the entire amount to her airtel number.

winning a lucky draw of rs.10 lakhs from airtel lucky draw contest

received a call from airtel on 15th June, 2010, that my no has been selected for a lucky draw and i am winning 10 lakhs, they told me to call them for which the call rates where too high 7 rs. per minute. i lost all my balance in my phone, i lost 240 s. totally, they tols me to take Rs.8800/- cash coupon of ITZ Disttv cash coupon. which was not possible for me. i do not know who was calling me and tried to cheat in the name of airtel. if i have won the price why i need to take a cash coupon for no reason. i think it is all fruad and airtel need to take of this issue. internet bill

This is regarding my internet bill (account number : 15180211).
I've received an unusual bill from airtel of 7,642.00 (which is faulty and discrepant).
I've made complaint many times about the same but they could not resolve the issue and asked me to pay the bill.

Bills after termination

I had subscribed to the Wireless Internet Connection facility (A/c No. ############, Number : 9987255406) in the month of June, 2009 (@ 8th June, 2009) from the Shivaji Park, Dadar (West) gallery. After using the same for around 6 moths (till December 2009), I found the speed of the net connection was extremely slow in various places in and around Mumbai. Hence, I decided to discontinue the services.

I made a call to the Airtel helpline and requested them to cancel the internet connection. Since, I had some pending dues, I was asked to clear these dues and give a written application for cancellation, which I did immediately. Since my office is in Powai, an Airtel executive from the Airtel Powai gallery visited my office on 7th January, 2010 (Mr. Sunil Beherta). I submitted the “Application for Cancellation” and also paid my ending dues through cheque (ICICI Cheque number : 146572), which as per my bank record was cleared on 12th January, 2010. I also went to the Shivaji Park Airtel gallery to return the USB Net setter, but was told that it need not be returned because I had paid the initial money to buy it.

After all this procedure I expected that the above said account and number would have been cancelled / terminated, but I was surprised to get the bills for the same in the following months. In spite of informing various executives that this number had been cancelled they have been repeatedly calling us and asking to pay the dues. These calls are made to my landline number, even though I have informed my mobile number to the various executives, and my mother is been harassed with questions which should be actually directed to me.

Subscribed me for Airtel Talkies without my consent

Subscribing me without consent

My name is Manisha Phadke and by mistake, having Airtel prepaid no 9004236814. Airtel is cutting pockets of its own consumers who by mistake have shown trust in this company. There is AIRTEL TALKIE SERVICES in which Airtel has enrolled me without my consent and cutted Rupees 30 for 30 days .I came to know about this fradulent practice only when I got an sms for money cutting .I am deeply Thankful for that sms. I dont have time to listen to movies and that too on phone.

ON ONE HAND AIRTEL STARTS ANY SERVICE WITOUT INFORMING THE SUBSCRIBER AND IF SOMEONE CAME TO KNOW ABOUT THIS FRAUDLENT PRACTICE AND TRY FOR CONSUMER COMPLAINT NO THEN THAT CALL IS ALSO CHARGED.

I want to deactive Airtel Talkies immediately.

I had got my pre- connection activated in the year January 2008 this card was purchased from Rahul Enterprises & a VIP No: 99870 07007 was given for which the payment was settled in cash. After a month M/s Frontline Sales called up & suggested me the plan (Bonanza Plan-199) for which I had agreed & according to them submitted my documents along with the sim-card to the office to change it from pre- to post-, plus paid the activation charges, & not just for 3 to 4 days of usage, my post-paid connection was terminated without even intimating me or giving me any prior notice.

On asking them I came to know that one of the Airtel company owner was holding the number & all the database records which got later replaced & also the plan was converted back to pre- from post- # . But to you understanding I have the original bill copy from the Airtel Company where it states that I was the legal owner of that number & also address given to them.

For this I feel it’s totally illegal, that the big company like Airtel can do such a blunder with there customer …. Please sir, I need the justice. As Customer I won’t bear the loss it’s not my fault? It’s been more than 3 years I haven’t got any justice so please help me out & solve the matter as soon as possible.

I am looking forward to the positive reply. Hope would get the justice soon.

Prepaid GPRS

I am using Airtel GPRS plan of 200 MB for 7 days (@ Rs. 25/-). This plan was renewed on 4-Jun-2010 at 1:00 AM (got an SMS for renewal). It seems that there was a balance deduction of more that Rs. 100 for all usage after that. Complaint launched immediately after receiving a flash message for balance deduction fo Rs. 84/- at around 2:15 PM. Complain number 3060427194800. However, Airtel claims that the usage exceeded above 200 MB, which is incorrect. It is not possible for usage to exceed 200 MB in short time. The mobile handset too has data counter, which I track, and accordingly, my usage is around 60 MB in 10 days.

not issuing duplicate sim card

I have lost my airtel sim card , i am using the number from last 6 years, when i blocked the sim card and asked the airtel gallery people(malad) to issue duplicate sim card, they said that this number does not belong to anyone as per their records.

Unjustified money deduction

My mobile number is : 9987818775

On 13th May 2010 I have recharged my mobile with Internet Rs.98/- pack. But, Airtel deducted Rs.205/- from my regular talktime after that when I was downloading later.

They had lodged complaints numerous times but failed to give proper explanations and didn't gave back my money yet.

Even, when I told one of the supervisors Mr. Sandeep that I will be lodging further complaints. He told me that he had no issues.

Their data is showing that my number is not GPRS activated. But, I am browsing and downloading files everday as of now.

I fail to understand why such a big company like Airtel has employed such illiterate people to serve its customers.

I want my talktime back in no time, as it was cut from my regular talktime while I was already having a Rs. 98/- pack activated and my mobile was set to AirtelGPRS.

Please look into the issue and take any step immediately to force them return my money that was unauthorizedly charged.

My mob no. is 9967167121 and yesterday i got a message from 5432105 saying that my mobile have been activated for job on mobile for 10 days with a charge of Rs.10, and this was done without me applying for it,and Rs.10 has been cut from my balance. I request you to deactivate the same,and reimburse my balance as soon as possible,

Deactivate Airtel cricket messaging

I had not opted to get cricket message.
Since i have got the SIM from the company i work with (corporate connection) i have been getting these messages from 55382. I got a message from 54321 that "you have been renewed for weekly cricket update pack subscription service from airtel. you have been charged Rs. 10."

I wrote to "[email protected]" - Why i am getting charged from something that i have not opted for in the first place.

I want the subscription amount to be REFUNDED to my account.

The reply i get from them is

We regret the inconvenience caused due to delay in replying to your mail.

charging amounts of plans which has been deactivated

To AIRTEL,
I hv been charged RS.85 in the last month bill for a plan which i had askd one of ur customer care executive to deactivate.I had called d customer care for which i was asked to lodge a complaint.I m not gonna pay this amount this time onwards. i hope you will deactivate the service and stop charging me the amount, because even if you keep charging me the amount i will be paying Rs.85 less then the orignal amount.

1 year of network problem

I had been facing network problem since year i have airtel mobile no 9987146759.I am not getting network at all in home and outside also i have to wait for around 15 to more than hour for receiving network.Starting from month of april 2009 to till date.As been giving complaint to customer care repeatedly in june and july i started getting network there after again around in january network started falling,by march it was completely zero for indoor that is at home.There after inspite giving several complaints, the complaint to customer care does,nt seems to be getting any solution.Hence felt the need to get help from such greviances.Even the customer care executives are trying to ignore the problem,while some talking rudely.Requesting you to kindly take some serious action against this.

Activated chatting services

I have been getting calls and SMS from the number 5432168887395 - which is an Airtel chatting and news alert services which i have not activated for. Every month they are charging me for the same. The calls come in late in night. the response of floor manager of consumer complaint - Ms Payal was disgusting in all respect.

I think Airtel wishes to loot its customer and nice way to make money without any effort.

This is wrong way to do it. I believe the authorities should take things into consideration and take action.

HARRESHMENT

I DON’T RECEIVE BILL FOR THIS NUMBERS SINCE SEVERAL YEARS. AFTER SO MANY COMPLAINTS I GOT MY FIRST BILL IN FEB 2010. FROM WHICH I CAME TO KNOW MY SMS PACK WAS INACTIVE WITHOUT I ASKING TO STOP IT. SO I CALL CUSTOMER CARE SO CUSTOMER CARE PERSON SAID YOU ARE RIGHT YOU HAVE NOT MADE ANY REQUEST SO YOU WILL GET REFUND. SINCE SERPTMBER 2009 IT WAS STOPED SO IM ENTITLED TO GET ALMOST Rs. 5000 to 6000 refund. AFTER HELL OF TALKING TO CUSTOMER CARE AND FROM ONE SENIOR PERSON TALK I GOT REFUND OF JUST 900/- SO DENIED TO ACCEPT OT AND SAID TILL YOU CLEAR MY THIS ISSUE I WILL NOT MAKE PAYMENT OF YOUR BILLS. SO ON 11TH May 13, 2010 MY OUT GOING WAS BARRED. IM CUSTOMER OF AIRTEL SINCE LAST 7 TO 8 YEARS PAYING ALMOST 5 LACS PLUS AMOUNT. IM ENTILE FOR THIS MENTAL HARRESHMENT ? IS THIS WAY AIRTEL PAYS TO THEIR LOYAL CUTOMERS ? WITHOUT LOOKING CUSTOMER RECORD OR COMPLAINTS THEY SIMPLY BARRED NUMBER ?

THIS IS NOTHING BUT SHEER HUMILIATION. THERE ARE SO MANY OTHER ISSUES ALSO LIKE VERY BAD NETWORK, THEIR COLLECTION PEOPLE ARE USING LANGUAGE OF SADAK CHAAP PERSON. WHO WILL PAY FOR THIS INSULT, HUMILIATION AND HARRESHMANET ?

Regarding mobile connection

This is to state that i got i call from airtel office malad about getting converting prepaid to postpaid connection.The conversion was done but now due to documentation problem it has been barred.I called up the concerned people regarding this but no one is taking it seriously.Now it has been 12 days but no action has been taken.Even they told me to submit more documents and i submitted them.

atocity of airtel with prepaid customers

I got aitel prepaid connection long back. (cell no +91-9987205584). From last 3-4 months I'm literally struggling with my connection. From last 3-4 months airtel is deducting money from my account for "airtel talkies " for which I never subscribed. When I called 121 regarding this they said "sorry" thats all. but my money is not all reverted back. What the hell is this??

and another important thing is I registered for National Do Not Disturb service on 18/02/2010 (id=s1016206085) but still my cell is flooding with commercial messages from airtel, from which I'm too much mentally disturbed.

My suggestion to fellow Indians is please keep yourself from this fraud company.
