I bought the refrigerator Model/year: R-VGS40PND3/2016,Serial no.: 2160800233 , capacity 489 Lts in Oct 2016 and was installed successfully. On 4th July 2017, we complained for defect in cooling. The service person attended it and found that compressor not working. They shifted the whole unit to their workshop in order to install a new compressor. As per their verbal report, a new compressor was installed and tested for two days, not checked by us though. We don't have any documentation that the installed unit is new or not. The unit was delivered on 12th July 2017. Since then the unit is making a lot of noise. We again called the concerned person from workshop. One of the service person visited and again suggested to change the compressor unit in the workshop. We were not informed about the noise issue even though the technical person might also have found it when testing.

We bought Hitachi's refrigerator because of it's brand name and design but now we are sorry to say that we regret to buy this refrigerator whose compressor goes off in 8 months and couldn't get repaired successfully. We had never come across with problem of compressor of other brands that we have used till date.

Kindly confirm whether it could be revert back to normal or may be replaced with a new unit of the same model.
