poor network, no action on complaint

excess mobile data bill is charged and nobody is taking complaints. I called customer care number 1503 many times but they denied to take complaints. hence i decided to port number to other operator so requested to adjust my deposit against outstanding and sent mail to [email protected] on 30/07/2019, no action taken. several times complained regarding network problem but no action.

Dear Sir/Madam,

On 30th October 2018 services to my Dolphin number 9869283618 were discontinued without any reason or intimation.

When I contacted customer care I was told that they were not aware of the reason as it was not reflecting in the system and was advised to visit the Shivaji Park office.

The next day I visited the Shivaji Park office but they too were unable to assist me and directed me to visit BKC office which I did on 5th November 2018. At the account office they too did not know as to why the service was discontinued. The only reply was that the number has been POOLED???????????

Again I was directed to meet one Mr. Sawant, who in turn directed me to another official, who also did not give any reason as to why the services were discontinued and instead directed Mr. Varadkar to escort me to the ground floor office wherein I was told that the SIM was no longer valid (again no reason given) and I will have to reapply by filling in a fresh form for services to be restored, which I did and paid a deposit of Rs. 500/- (Five Hundred only) for which no receipt was issued. When I asked for the same I was told that the deposit amount will reflect in the next months bill but the same did not. Also upon inquiring as to what happens to the initial deposit of Rs. 1000/- (One Thousand Only) which I had paid in April 2007 I was told that it would be refunded but have yet not received it.

My questions are:

1. Does MTNL not have the basic courtesy to intimate the customer before disconnecting services?

2. Why does MTNL not have a system wherein the reason of discontinuation of service is stated across all boards so that the customer can be duly informed of the same when he calls customer care and is not made to run from pillar to post to sort out the issue?

3. At a time when private service providers are having a field day and government agencies are suffering, should not MTNL ensure that they do not antagonize customers by their careless attitude towards solving problems promptly?

I have been a loyal customer for the past 11 years and this is how customers are treated.and even after sending an email to the concerned official I have yet not received a reply.

I also met some officials named Mr. Dharmendra and Mr. Sunil Lattu at the BKC office and they assured me that they will look into the matter but as usual it is the CHALTA HAI attitude which persists unabated. There is no accountability, no matter who is in power.

Post posting the network to JIO MTNL DOLPHIN MUMBAI SIM is not deactivated

I moved to Chennai in last week of Nov 2018. I ported my mobile no 9419296822 succsessfull to JIO on 23rd January 2019. However, my previous MTNL DOLPHIN SIM (postpaid) is still active.
So now I have one mobile number (9419296822) running on two networks, both JIO and MTNL!!!
Ideally the MTNL SIM should have automatically stopped working post number porting.
I called up 1503 to ask MTNL to deactivate the SIM. But they are not helping me in this regard.
Already I have paid hefty roaming charges for Dec and Jan to MTNL. I am unwilling to pay any further charges. Have already cleared my dues. Am already using JIO network now.

Can someone tell me how to deactivate this SIM from Chennai and how to go about it.

Network problem

This is regards to the terrible network provided by MTNL Dolphin all over Mumbai. I have been facing this issue since 15 days.I had complained regarding the same on 16.08.16 (Complaint No. - 1181888) but there is no reply or improvement in the service. I also have an Airtel card which provides a strong network across Mumbai. I hope this matter is taken care of ASAP.

Balance deduction to nill

I m a regular MTNL Dolphin customer using service since more than 6 years.
Yesterday(11-03-2016) my balance was Rs.180.00 approx. but today(12-03-2016) it was nil. Rs.0.00.
I want detailed history regarding by transaction.
Or else in customer forum act I have to take some necessary step towards it.
Needs your Polite response asap....

Network problem

I have dolphin connection on my mobile but i am facing network problem from aprox.six months
I hav complain on Mtnl toll free 1503 many times but there is no solution
I have two connection of dolphin
So pls solve my network probem

Inappropriate billing after 7 years of disconnecting their mobile services

I had given a written application in the months of October-November 2007 to disconnect my MTNL Dolphin mobile connection & according to the procedure described by the person who guided me to cut the connection had given the application & handed over the sim card to the MTNL office. Then I payed the bill that followed because it was for the month when my service was active. But after that the again sent a bill in the next month when I had not even used the services. I had even notified the MTNL office who said it might have been sent by mistake!!!

Now, after 7 years of sleep, they have woken up & claim that I am due to pay about 5 times the last bill they sent me. When enquired into, they say that these are of the preceding months. But I had never defaulted any payments & had regular payment history. Also, if at all I had forgotten any bill, it adds to the next months bill. So when I say I payed the last bill, it is clear that I cleared all dues. They are asking for a receipt now. Who would keep receipt of some dumb telephone company for 7 years.

Basically MTNL is pathetic, so don't ever use their services or your grand children will keep paying bills which even you did not use.

i received an sms reading as under Dear Customer your subscription to to nextGTv gold pack of validity 30 days has been renewed and . You have been charged Rs. 99/-p.m.

I have not requested for this service

In month of Dec.12 it will charges 4 times Rs. 396/-
in month of Jan 13 it will charge once Rs396/-

how can anyone charge me anything without my consent. when i tried to call back on that number it was saying that this number does not exist and when i tried to reply the sms sending failed. pl. do the needful. my cell number is 9869034888

network issues

I am a dolphin customer from almost 9 year and network problems in delhi is still there.
Calls keeps on disconnecting one after the another.Either our voice do not reach there or sometimes we are not able to hear and for talking once i generally waste 4-5 calls.

Its just that i have been using this no from the last so many years so i cannot change it otherwise i would have been the 1st person to dump this connection.

no network

i amit b gajra,
there is no network ,frm 11am on 6-8-11,
and the callcentre dnt no when the network will come.
and they are saying it is tempory problem.
after calling 5times i recive the compalin no. 363967.
because of this i have lost lot of alls and money.
please take a nessary action

Service discoonected

My number 986937890 is disconnected for no reason since 1st Feb 2011. i am constantly approching mtnl officers but could not get satisfactory reply.. I could not understand when my number will restart. I am using this number since last more than six years.

Mtnl dolphin

I am using dolphin since past 5 years n the network is pathetic. The only reason I have stuck on to it is to not change my number but now good NUMBER PORTABILITY has been launched.
I am experiencing call drops n network failure and whenever I call customer care they always have one answer- system up gradation is going on and there is some network repair work going on.... But sadly nothing improves....
Nowadays only after waiting for 15 minutes we get connected to the customer care and the women executives are very RUDE and rather than giving the asked information they just say one thing...to go to the nearest mtnl centre....obviously there is no time and it's not possible to keep going to the mtnl centre which is faraway.... And they also hang up....this is the worst kind of service experienced...
I hope the mtnl dolphin executives take into consideration the complain and do the needful....

network issues

i am a consumer of dolphin 4 last 4 years nd m facin a problem in a particular area for more than a year giving complaints to 1503 as well as mtnl official that area bt of no use.i think these mtnl officials are takin bribe from rival companies so that the officials down the network thus the subscriber shifts to other service providers in the locality.the higher officials are involved in this matter so i request the officials to look into the matter and even the dto to take up the issue.one word for those who take bribe;u ppl shal dat bribe till the company is on bt once yhe company shuts down not even a dog wil ask u.

Not able to make STD calls for last one month

I have booked complaints @ your customer service 9869012345 atleast 6 to 7 times but nothing happens in return. Kindly address this customer grievence urgently otherwise, there is no use using dolphin anymore for me.
