UNSOLICITED EMI Credit Card

MY 1ST MAIL TO RBL (EMAIL DATED 03.05.19)

Dear Sir,

Just now I have received a SMS mentioning that "We have processed your EMI request the transaction of Rs. 5742......mobile app"

I would like to mention here that I only enquired about it but I never gave my consent to the EMI option. Moreover, you have conveniently decided on the tenure & the interest rate again without my consent.

Since it is impossible to reach to your customer care representative, I am informing you through this mail that the EMI OPTION may please be withdrawn immediately.

RBL'S REPLY email dated 03.05.19

This is with reference to your email dated May 02, 2019.

We would like to inform you that we have taken your request and the same has been forwarded to the relevant unit.

MY FOLLOW UP MAIL (email dated 10.05.19 - 7 DAYS AFTER 03.05.19)

Dear Sir,

Please refer to my trailing mail, I haven't received any feedback till date. My billing cycle is due in the next couple of days. If you don't delete the EMI option, then it will appear in my bill and it will take several more rounds of email exchanges to get it deleted and your personnel will very conveniently express their helplessness to do anything about it.

So, Mr. Atul, please do the needful immediately, as I repeat that I DO NOT WANT THIS UNSOLICITED EMI OPTION.

MY FOLLOWUP MAIL (email dated 14.05.19)
Dear Sir,

As I had intimated to you in my earlier mails that the unsolicited EMI should be withdrawn, but now the bill has been raised with the EMI option. This is totally against what I wanted. Is this a ploy of RBL to loot their customers so that the bank can stay afloat? It seems no one is taking the matter seriously and every time I send a mail, a new person replies with a new reference number. Can you please tell when will this matter be sorted out or do you want me to take up the matter further with the authorities?

This is with reference to your email dated May 14, 2019.



We would like to inform you that to preclose your EMI first you need to fulfill the requirements:
The pre closure of the EMI plan attracts fee that is equal to 3% of the principal balance on the plan along with the 18% GST.
The principal balance on the EMI plan at the time of preclosure is:
INR. 5479.53 on which 3% pre closure charges of INR. 164.39 and the 18% GST (of preclosure charges) of INR. 29.59 have been levied.

Total you need to pay INR. 5,673.51 in order to preclose EMI.
We hope we are able to address your concern.

Dear Mr. Suman Choudhary,

It seems that you have not read my mail properly or DO NOT UNDERSTAND SIMPLE ENGLISH, and replied in a haste. I don't want to preclose my EMI. The fact is (I REPEAT AGAIN) that I never opted for it so where does the question of preclosure come from? You are simply writing the mail like a robot without getting into the root cause of the problem. This is the main problem with RBL Bank, that no one wants to settle the issue and drag it as long as possible and keep on fleecing the customer.

If you can't solve the issue, PLEASE ESCALATE THIS ISSUE TO SOME RESPONSIBLE PERSON WHO CAN LOOK & UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM.

Meanwhile can you provide me the details of your banking Ombudsman so that I can take up the matter with them.
