No claim Settlement & Fraud in paying

Dear Friends,

I am holding Royal Sundaram Policy DTM0002633000101 & Claim No is HRA0282062.
This is family floater plan sum assured 500000 + 100000 Claim. Family member self spouse & one daughter. By god bless I was admitted in Max hospital in Gurgaon (ALPS Ltd) by 9 August 2018 & discharge 11 August. It was second year of this policy there was no any claim from my side.

In this duration I have many times call to Royal Sundaram for pre approval for medical treatment but response is very negative only saying I am checking with team & share shortly but it was very shocking time three days passed but no positive update , doctor's treatment was continued. I was patient many times discussed with my 3 months daughter on given toll free no of given TPA. Response was very unresponsive.

After the final stage go to discharge time , same process followed , from hospital representative many times call him send email but no response, from morning 9AM to 7PM still followed for this activities because I was money ,it my trust I have a Royal Sundaram policy it was my confidence but getting very negative news from TPA of RSA, by god I have payment to hospital & discharge with family with 3 months daughter.

In second phase I was tried with reimbursement all document shared with given office address & daily follow-ups with customer representative for policy claim because I was taken from my friend for return.
In 3rd sep 2018 getting call from Royal Sundaram & very rudely talk with me regarding Royal Sundaram policy , no is 044-71177117 he said I ll not process your claim

I applied for claim which was registered on 14th August 2018 (Mind you, during the entire term from[ protected I never claimed for a reimbursement for any illness.
I was informed it will take 15-20 working days for the claim to process.
Today 9th Sept 2018 I received a letter addressed by Royal Sundaram & informing me that the claim cannot be processed due to some reasons.

I am regularly paying the annual policy amount of Rs 11500 and odd * for two years so I don't understand the reasons for the rejection of my claim. Another point that I would like to raise is that the field officer who is deputed is not from a medical (MB BS) background, he does not know how to write.
I feel cheated by this fraud company (ROYAL SUNDARAM). I advice all of the new customers to not enroll for any product of the above company.

This statement from your executive lost your company’s reputation from my mind. I must mention that I was fool who changed my Health insurance from HDFC Agro to Royal sundaram before two years back. Frankly speaking your employee requires lessons for Customer relationship and communication behavior.

Finally after suffering from this unfortunate hospitalization and uncooperative response from your company’s management side I am writing this towards proper and faster early settlement for my claim by proceeding for closer of my friend money .

I have paid to Max Hospital approx 70000.

I have no more option is here from my side only two side is pending first IRDA second is consumer court because I have no more money for this amount to pay , policy purchased time you have many times called to me & said entire medical treatment is covered because 500000 SA but getting very bad feeling from your company.

I hope you will understand my feelings and process faster with needful doings in direction of claim settlement.

INCEASED PREMIUM

DEAR ONES,
NO RESPONSE THIS IS ROYAL SUNDARAM HEALTH INSURANCE..MY POLICY EXPIRED 24/09/2016 POLICY NO HB00001914000106 NOBODY CALLED OR INFORMED..I SEND A MAIL 3 DAYS BACK STILL NO REPLY..IF YOU WISH TAKE ORIENTAL.NEW INDIA ASSURANCE...MY HOUSE I HAVE 4 ROYAL SUNDARAM POLICY NEXT RENEWAL T WONT RENEW AND WISH TO CANCELL THEN CHANGE A NEW COMPANY NEVER ROYAL SUNDARAM AND DONT RECEMEND FOR THIS COMPANY TO TAKE POLICY

Please return my policy amount

Dear Sir,

This is Joseph. I have applied health insurance for myself, spouse and son. I have AVM in brain. I informed the customer contact person Mr. Lokesh (B02964) about the pre existing decease. I asked him whether medical policy would suit me because I am having AVM in brain. He told we do offer for any kind of pre-existing decease except one from alcoholic addiction and decease like AIDS. Also, he said we will not decline the medical policy in any circumstances, it will be cancelled only when you will cancel. With confirming the details, I proceed for payment. Now they are saying that the policy has declined for me. Is it the right way of communicating the customer? If he is not aware of the rules, please teach him. Also, I called him several time, but he is not responded back. Not only him, everyone in your office said "He is in a long call, once he come back I'll let him know that you have called and he ll get you back". But he was not called me. Don't make us disappointed. As you people are not trustworthy, I do want to cancel the policy for my family. Please return the entire amount I paid for my family (Rs. 11,233/-), as your representative said (We will return the entire amount if you are not willing to proceed).

THANIGACHALAM POLICY NO(HCJOOO5254), MEMBERSHIP NO:-(HC121855054).CONT(9840091895), I CLAIMED THE INSURED MONEY FROM (12-01-2016) BUT THEY SAID ME YOU RECEIVE THE CLAIM AMOUNT WITHIN 10DAYS BUT TILL THE DATE I DID NOT RECEIVE THE CHEQUE.SO PLEASE I REQUESTED YOU TO KINDLY TAKE NECESSARY STEPS AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE.

Health Insurance

Hello friend,

If the company refuses the claim, you can approach the Insurance Ombudsman of your area. Pleave siti the web site of Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) where you will get the address of Insurance Ombudsman for different regions. www.irda.gov.in .You should give full details of your claim and reply received from the Insurance company in your complaint to the Ombudsman. The Ombudsman can look in to the complaint and give an award which is generally accepted by the Insurance company.

I can't give an opinion on the merit of your case here as I do not have full details of your policy etc.
Read your policy terms well and see that you have complied with all the conditions laid down there.
The Insurance company is bound to provide you coverage for any treatment that you had taken while in India irrespective of whether you had undergone any treatment while residing abroad and claimed insurance coverage for that from overseas insurer.

So approach the Insurance Ombudsman as early as possible with full details of your claims with Royal Sundaram. There is no fee for that, you can write a complaint with details and send it by Speed Post to the Insurance Ombudsman of your area.

Health Insurance

I had taken out a health insurance policy from Royal Sundaram thro Citibank group insurance scheme for my entire family and had paid premiums for 3 years and paid approx Rs.60,000 in premiums.

My wife was diagnosed with cancer during the 3rd year. Since we were abroad, the treatment was mostly covered by my employer's insurance. She was fully cured by the time we returned to India and only one last procedure remained, costing about Rs.10,000. We had to get this done in Apollo Chennai and to my horror Royal Sundaram refused to entertain the claim on the ground that the entire treatment was neither communicated to them nor had any claim been made on them.

I am aghast. If the insured had more than one policy, he is free to choose his insurer. In any case Royal Sundaram only covered treatment in India and there was no rhyme or reason to intimate them when the costs were being picked up by a foreign insurer.

The arrogance and reasoning was unbelievable. The policy marketed thro Citibank is a complete rip off. Please stay away from this insurer.
