Miscalculation of deposite money & indiscipline of customer lady while talking on phone.

I had 2 numbers from vodafone (9986376279 & 9742021045). The deposit amount of 300 for each number was taken by Vodafone while migrating from prepaid to postpaid is still with them. Now I want to migrate back to prepaid. Vodafone is saying that, they do not have any deposit money. Now my bill is Rs.2131/-. I’m asked to reduce Rs.600 from that amount & give the remaining bill. They say that 300 will come after 90 days. why exactly I have to leave my 300*2=600 with vodafone for 90 days.? Its my money & I have all rights to ask for it. The customer care person calls & talks in disrespectful manner. I cant take this. I have called customer care & walked into vodafone shop so many times. But they ask us to walk to a particular store. Why do they have so many stores for..?? No1 can get a postpaid connection unless they pay 1 months rent as deposit. My other no 9742021045 was changed from postpaid to prepaid on Jan 2 2012 and bill was Rs.792, but I have paid 912 & I still have not received any deposit Vodafone is trying not to return the deposit amount back. None of the customer care representatives are giving proper info of the deposit amount. I mailed them asking them to clarify my 3 quires. They replied in a 1 line sentence saying go to nearest vodafone store. That I have done many times. I still haven got answer for my quires. If I ask, where is my 600, they say that they don’t know & ask us to pay entire amount & they will return my 600 after 7 days. When they don’t have track of my deposit money how can I trust them that they will return my money.? None of the vodafone people are talking same. every1 says some different thing. Voice call to customer care can be taken as evidence. I don’t want to pay a single rupee to them. I want this to be clarified the earliest & I want pardons from the lady who spoke in disrespectful manner.

Discontinuation of service by the operator

I am a regular service user of vodafone with cell number 9820414702. I had opted for international roaming during my visit to Dubai bewtween 27th Feb 2012 till 1st March 2012, both days inclusive. The rates applied are very high which is OK. The credit limit was accordingly revised. Unfortunately the usage exceeded the limit on 1st March morning, about which I am yet to receive details for verification. But the operator did not even give me any indication and instead requested me to make interim payment immediately, WITHOUT GIVING ANY NOTICE PERIOD for paymemnt. Imagine, I was about to board the aircraft for return journey and they discontinued the service. For some time incoming calls were allowed but today morning for good 3 hours , between 08.00 am till 11.00 am even incoming calls were barred. I have been using the service since 2001 and paying regualrly then I should have been given time for payment. Upon arrival in India , I had no way to communicate with any body, my family and my request was turned down when I contacted their office. This caused tremendous stress and was like an emotional torture as I could not even confirm my travel plans for return to Gujarat. I would appreciate if a) actual usage charge for international roaming is clearly known (I suspect the rates charged could be much more than indicated as some or the other taxes, levies, call forward etc, charges would be levied making it exorbitant and UNKNOWN to the user, and b) time should be given to bonafide customers for making interim pauyments as well. I look forward to your help / support in the matter as this is a problem faced by many corporate customers like me.

just wanted to add.. my number is from the mumbai circle and and i am going to be in delhi for a few days... and it seems no one can give me the right advice about what to do in this situation ...the customer care people start giving 'standard' answers even before they have heard you out!!

have been using vodafone for ages, but it may be time to switch..they have been giving me grief... and each time i call customer care i get a different version of things, apart from having to wait endlessly and hear terrible music during the wait and also end up spending through my nose just to sort problems created by them... and i am getting nowhere near to solving my problem

lost my phone when i was in puri, orissa... called customer care and got the sim blocked and was asked to try for a new sim there... next day i went to bhubaneshwar...to the vodafone store at shriya talkies square, janpath....again got different versions from the front desk.. finally the manager did help out and provided me a new sim after taking my id proof etc and assured me that it will get reactivated in 24 hours.... did not happen... then i called cust care again and was made to wait and not helped... i asked for a senoir and was put on to sandeep rane who assured me that it will come on in 4 hours... in 4 hours time, the older, lost sim card got activated which was now in the possession of some unknown person... i got it blocked again and this time the customer care banged the phone on me.... later at night i called the called customer care... talked to one mr balaji langde who could not solve my problem and put me on to shivaji ingle, supervisor, who also eventually kept repeating that they are unable to do anything and told me that now since i was in delhi, i should call delhi customer care and they will guide me about which vodafone store to go to and what to do
but for me thats the last straw....
