Vodafone - Inflated postpaid mobile bill


I have been using Vodafone mobile number 9999840693 since last 6 years, and have migratred from prepaid to postpiad connection 4months before.

Since last three months I have been receiving more than estimated bill amount, the service provider has been charging Rs100 extra everymonth. On enquiring about the charges they say, I have accessed some paidwebsite and the details for which cannot be shared.

I have been using mobile interent since last 4years and have never charged for accessing anywebsite when I was using prepaid, even after accessing the same websites I get charged Rs100 extra.

I would request you to look into this, since I believe the service provider should be transparent enough to provide me the full details and should not charge for something I didn't use.

Regarding portability from Airtel to Vodafone

I want portability from Airtel to Vodafone but due to some vodafone official problem i could not receive any favourable job . i have submitted my document two time to vodafone executive but all in vain . Neither vodafone official told me no or yes . now a days i am in a haphazard situation . so kindly do needful.

non service

THIS IS SYHAM SUNDER YADAV ,,Bought a new postpaid vodafone connection no 8860630043, from Dwarka mor mini vodafone store around 25 days back , got a telephonic confirmation within 24 hrs of the activation of my no. after 2 days got a sms that services will be going to be stopped as no physical verification of my add was done . I gave a call to vodafone customer care that too pressing different nos from 1 to 9 (which took almost 20 mins )to reach their customer care SO CALLED executive who was rude to put my phone on hold and then eventually disconnect as I want to talk senior manager .everytime excutives were so informed that it is going to be varified , some said it negative , i dont why they guys dont knw the correct information before delivering answer to customer.,.

after 2 days of course my sim stopped working . I again called vodafone to request for the physical verification of my address and I was told that someone had come to check but as no one visited my home and even i have not got any call from from the agent who is going to varified my adddress,,, i called vodafone call center to give me solution , excutive informed me it is again negative.. ohhh god , it was my second time when my address varification is negative .

Again i requested them to varifiy my address third time and with alternative number,9891307300 , but as aspected no one visited to address and no call to my number and alternative number that i provided ,, this time i got gift from vodafone that my incoming also barred .. now i sim is just showcaSe for me,, i was very fed up from this , i called to call center for solution they said they didnt find ur address so they it is negative , but I WANT TO ask u guys , if u are not getting , then u should call me for confirming, but no ,,

one excutive said, agent was not getting address , so he went back from the half way, so i notice so change my address .

finally after this stuff i visted to New Main vodafone store in Dwarka Sector 12 , where Miss Neha , requested her to change my address and help me in my address varification , i provided them my all the documents for my NEW address A1/47 SECOND FLOOR ,SEWAK PARK ,UTTAM NAGAR 110059 with land mark near by dwarka more metro station . ... she said it will be varified in three days more , i confirmed myself to Neha , do u need more anything in addrress , she said it is all enough , dont worry it will be done soon,,and give me REQUEST ID AS 2486805816 ...... i relexed and beleived her.....but after 3 days i did not gets any call on my alternative number and no one visited to home , and excutives said your request is negative now, due to incomplete address,, i did not understand why it is incomplete address for you , becouse on the same address i gets delivery from online shopping and partals . but for you it is incomplete address ,,,if it is then u should call to alternative number ,,, bt no..
He might have checked from my neighbor about the authenticity of my address and left . I could have easily be contacted on the alternative no which I had given to Vodafone .

and I guess vodafone doesn’t expect a working person like me to stay home all the time leaving all my professional and social engagement.
Its been 25th day today I’m still without a functional sim and trying to get in touch with them but again the no game is on, now am unable to call call centers also , on the phone and no email id or any concerned people contact detail is available on the web.

so total 5 times i requested them to varify my address, but no one visited to my address and no call for confirming address... and all vodafone stor guys was force me for turn this number in prepaid ,, why? ??? this is not solution . excutivs were always keen to post request to again varification instead of giving solutionssss... vodafone drive me so crazy ,, i am really waited for 25 days , now it is out of patience , i want radical steps of i will file the case , this is so disgusting behaviors from you ,, you are in services industry ,inspite of that not able to serve me ,, excutive are always un informed,,,,, uhh disgusting ,

excess billing

Myself Manish Kumar my Vodafone no is 8860606239 i have corporate plan last month micromax gave me one gb data for one month i told the customer care after completed my data just lock my internet but he did not do that my data exceeded and my monthly bill taised to 1000/_ sir, who is the responcible for this.

customer care fault

I have recharged 2g unlimited pack.then 3G network is disconnected. Then I called the customer care said that " I recharged 2g unlimited net pack but 3G is disconnected " then how can I make video call.He replied that you recharge small 3g net pack then you can get 3G network but he didn't said your previous unlimited data pack will overwrite. I also activated 3G net pack at rs.8 for 25mb for 4 days from recharging the unlimited pack. The unlimited pack was overwritten. I asked after this problem they didn't refund. Even I spoked with higher officer.Please Help me sir...

Outgoing Barred without any discussion for sorting out the problem

Dear Concern,

I'm highly disappointed with Vodafone services & poor support.

On 2nd Sept'14, I've requested to deactivate my no.and spoken with Customer care executive, who told me that I'll receive a call before deactivation (recordings can be checked). But I haven't received any call and on 3rd Sept'14, my outgoing has been barred. I didn't wanted to deactivate my no. actually, but to speak with department, who're taking care of the kinds of issues I was facing, But before getting call from that department, my no. got deactivated.

I'm coordinating with the cc executive, from 3rd Sept'14 morning. I've spoken with one girl, and I requested her to activate my no. on urgent basis. But still I'm struggling. Today I got a call from one person, and today he told me that I need to pay pending amount, then they'll activate my no. I want to ask that why this money matter they haven't told me yesterday????

I've taken Vodafone prepaid connection in 2011. In the month of Apr'14, I was about to take Airtel postpaid connection, but Vodafone retained me and I've migrated my no. from prepaid to post paid. I'm their old customer and they don't have any value to their customer. I don't money right now to pay you as currently unemployed I'm looking for job. Also I don't have any other no. with me. I've only Vodafone no., that is deactivated and they're not activating the same.

Kindly resolve the problem if you can, I've the amount pending is around Rs.1800. If my no. won't get activated, later on also I won't pay any amount to you.

Waiting for your revert, otherwise, I'll take another connection that would never be Vodafone.

Erroneous Bill

I am using vodafone connection 9999036278 since Dec 2010. I use my mobile for official calls and for calling friends and family. I received my latest bill dated 03/08/2014. On 20/7 there are 4 sms made from my number to some special numbers 52484 and 56070. On 26/7 again there are three long calls made within a duration of 1 hour to some special numbers 55555555, 5555, 5555. I do not recognize these numbers. In my entire mobile calls history I never made any calls to any such numbers. Yet on repeated complaints to Vodafone to give me details of these numbers (who owns the number etc) I got no help. The calls made on 26/7 between 10:45 to 11:54 I was in my daughter's parent teacher meeting in school and was carrying my mobile along. So it is very clear that what I have received is a fraudulent bill. I have been exchanging email with vodafone customer care and they have not been of any help. They keep telling me that they have checked all details and these calls are genuine. When I asked them to give me some details about 55555555 or 55555 they do not have any details. If they cannot even find out what these numbers are, what investigation are they doing in my bill? I have paid for the calls and sms that are mine and decline to pay for these numbers which I do not recognize and have never made any calls/sms to. I have asked vodafone customer care to tell me the escalation procedure for my complaint but they did not come back and only keeps telling me to pay the remaining bill amount. Kindly advise what needs to be done.

Refund of Rs. 95/-

Hi Sir,

I have been chasing Vodafone custmoer care (Yashita) for over a month now. The problem occured while I was recharging my Vodafone mobile online. The payment went out of my bank but recharge was not succesful. Whenever I send a mail to customer care same stand reply that query will be resolved in 48 hours but its over a month not yet resolved.

i was using a prepaid vodafone connection.one day i recieved a call from their customer care executive offering me some good services at low cost if i switch to postpaid.i was offered 1000 mins free local and std calls,one vodafone to vodafone free calling and 500 mb 3g data free for 3 months.all dis was for a tariff of rs 450.so i accepted their offer.the sim got activated and i m using the internet,suddenly i realise they have not activated the data plan offer.i was browsing at standard rates.now the bill has crossed my cc limit nd m gettng messages from vodafone to pay the bill.my bill has xceeded because of the data usage charges.i tried contacting the agency who supplied d sim but din get reply.i just don understand why do vodafone promiises some offers to customers which they cant fullfill.its a really pathetic service from vodafone.i will never suggest anyone to use vodafone.please try to bring notice of this problem to some higher official of vodafone.its really mental harassment.now if i don pay the bill my service will get disconnected.so basically they are cheating on customers by luring them with fake promises.its really pathetic.i never xpected dis from vodafone.

I am a Vodafone postpaid customer and i paid my bill on 24th July 10.30 am at a vendor in cash at Bhogal New Delhi 110014 my no is 9999059784.
The transaction id no is 10140600008 and the vendor id is 38182664. to my surprise Vodafone has not only stopped my outgoing and internet services but are calling me day and night and disturbing me, instead of taking up the matter with their vendor.
I have provided them the details at least 6 times .

Sim replaced to someone by store without any proper document verification

I am vodafone prepaid customer , on 18 july someone got sim replaced of my no ############ from vodafone store ( Rajouri Garden and vodafone store people replaced the sim without any proper document verification due to this negligence by store on 19 july someone made fraud transaction from my account of Rs 1,60,000 and as my sim was replaced did not get intimation from my bank on transaction . Raised complaint with Vodafone , but is not taking any action . I need a compensation on my loss if they would have done proper verification the transaction would not have been possible as phone no plays very importnat role in all online transactions . It is because of there negligence i had to bare this loss.. Please take action .

fake calls and deduction of balance many times

i oftenly got fake calls on vodafone number and my balance got deducted and that too a huge amount i.e 30,45,60 rupees .that is too bad and when we asked them they don't even refund our balance and do not track such persons or companies who run these kind of businesses of making fool of others and the balance is transmitted in their phones .i will provide you the number ############.These are the numbers which are usually making me ill and worried .sir please take a strict action against them as earlier as possible and please refund our money as early as possible as the institution like yours should have to do this so as to give the confidence back to the consumers to complaint you to get their money back and the right to be heard

Antiquated Vodafone Billing System

I have a Vodafone number for around 10 years now but started taking the 3G data plan last month. Typically my voice bill never went beyond INR 500. This month I took an add-on plan of 2 GB for INR 450 which is valid till the next billing cycle. When my usage reached 1 GB, I got a msg that you have to pay your INR 4400 bill to continue the service. When inquiring about the same, I was told by 3 different call center persons that this amount is due to the practice of Vodafone to calculate bills based on 4 paise per 10 KB and adjusting it when the final bill is generated. I breathed a sigh of relief knowing this fact. However, my joy was short-lived as after a few hours I received a msg that since your credit limit is INR 3100, you cannot use any more data now. Although I still had 1 GB free data available, I was being asked to pay 80% of 4400 (approx. INR 3200) so that I can continue using this data. When I inquired from their helpdesk then how will they pay me back the additional (3200 - 450 (plan charge) - 250 (voice charge) = INR 2500) amount, they said that it will be adjusted with next months bill. I do not plan to take their 3G plan again next month and hence to receive my amount I would have to wait nearly 9 months (250 X 9 = 2250) which seems absurd. I do not see why I should pay them extra because their billing calculation method is flawed (calculating on per 10KB basis although a bundle plan is taken). They have threatened me that you will either have to pay this amount or your incoming calls too will be barred on this number. Since they know that this number is old and must be important, they are blackmailing me to pay this god-forsaken amount or else..... I am not sure whether any other people have faced this issue but it is really a arbitrary thing from Vodafone.

Bill plan

I had taken a monthly plan with vodafone where I was promised that I will be getting 200 local and std minutes .
However , after receiving the bill, I was shocked to see that I got no rebate for STD calls . While taking up with their appellate authorities several times , they are insisting that I am entitled to only free 200 local min only . What is more shocking is that while logging to my vodafone account in the internet, it is clearing showing that I am having 200 local and STD min .

Another ,shocking thing is that vodafone unilaterally activated my internet plan without my consent and when I took up with then , they adamantly insisted that I applied for the plan through my phone .

Deactivation (Leaving Permanently)

Dear Sir,

I was having a Vodafone post paid connection number 9873632423 which I have requested for disconnection (Leaving Permanently) on 17.01.2014 and my sim was withdrawn after paying all my dues vide Vodafone Reference Number 577585876 dated 17.01.2014. Still Vodafone sending me mobile bill and the latest was sending a demand notice vide Payment Assist-31-60 (DEL), Vodafone India. Also, Vodafone started disturbing me by using my alternate mobile number.

I request to intervene into the matter to stop disturbance and extortion.

Balance deduction

Dear Sir,
I have a prepaid mobile connection from vodafone. On 2 May 2014 I have charged for Rs 99 which was deduct from my prepaid balance for downloading DNLD-D2C_SAREGAMA_VALUEPK_99-SAREGAMA . But I did not give any permission for that and no download was made for said name on that day.
When I contact vodafone through live chat thay denied to give me data regarding my permission download device detail etc. & refuse the made refund.& said this will not happened in future.

Bill Dispute

Hi Team,

My self Zahid Shaikh and my complaint is regarding my vodafone no - 9833509407. Without informing me via mail or phone call one they had deactivated my service "Roam Like Home" on August 2013 due to this my Call & Message had been charged on STD rate from Pune to Mumbai(including the number for I had unlimited calling services of Rs 49). It means that anyone from their side can deactivated the services and let customer face the issue. I am ready to pay the amount if they reversed my charges but no one is interested to help and resolve the customer queries and twice I have went to Vodafone store in Mumbai.
Total outstanding amount Rs. 4175.4. Now they are saying that we can give you discount, I did not understand what is going on and I am fed up with the vodafone services.

Whenever I send an email to [email protected] - I used to get the same reply as below again & again.
Vofaone Reply - we have revalidated your bill and confirm that there is no discrepancy found. we confirm that Roam like Home service was not applicable under your corporate tariff plan Enterprise advantage 150.Hence same has been deactivated.

My Question to Vodafone,
1). If Roam Like Home is not applicable under my corporate pan Enterprise Advantage 150 then why it has got activated on Jan 11 and again on 1-Jan-14 for same corporate tariff plan Enterprise advantage 150. 2). After 2 and half years they realized that it is not applicable to my plan. During Jan 11 to Aug 13 what they were doing 3). Who is the responsible person who has deactivated that service because no deactivation request has been raised from my side

Since five years I am using this number and I need this no in future, can you please look into the issue and help me on this.

Vodafone disconnected a full paid (no dues) connection without intimation and fails to restore

Have written to Nodal officer, awIt response.
I have two numbers - 9873715193 from Delhi  & 9874715131 from Kolkata.

I sent a request to discontinue my Kolkata number 9874715131, post paying my bill in full, clearly mentioning same via email.

Kolkata sends in a mail, saying they have forwarded my request to Delhi to discontinue my other number 9873715193.

I immediately respond saying, I want to continue my Delhi number 9873715193 AND discontinue my Kolkata number 9874715131 - mail attached

Delhi promptly responds saying my mail has been forwarded to Kolkata again. But doesn't give me any complaint number

NOW after 12 hours of Vodafone Delhi's mail acknowledging request is for my Kolkata number - for my Delhi number -9873715193 -- I am not being able to make calls, with an error coming as "Authorisation Failure"

I call call centre 111 at 8:23PM -- am first asked did I request disconnection -- and then caller tells me they have not received any request and am advised to take out my sim and reboot.

I did take out my sim and reboot, I am still not being able to make calls from 9873715193.
Called up call centre again at 9:51pm -told request received for disconnection, but post verification takes request for reinstallation of services

10:12pm receive a sms saying request have been processed but next day morning am still not able to make calls

Unnecessary bill charges

I had use vodafone postpaid (994494176) in last month. But i disconnect my sim in feb 7th . In that time my bill status was 200 somthing.. but now my bill in my mail inbox is Rs500. Surely i can not use my sim in feb 7th... Please solve my problem fastly...
