Dear sir,

I have few problems for calling certain number to in your network.I am trying call number which is near me, then also he giving busy tone when the other phone is ideal. I have given complaint 3 months before still now no proper Response from your side

Fraud and illegal payment collected

vodafone is fraud company workers are doing fraud with customer my brother using vodafone number 9999912535 last 6 years but due to Singapore trip he was not deposited last 2 months bill but after returning he paid total balance after few days number was disconnected.
when we talked to customer care the person sandeep said the number is gone to pricing and if you need this number than pay 15000 INR.
please cooperate us and do the needful.

Demanding unneccesary amount

I have ported my number from Vodafone to IDEA on 27th Feb'13 and paid the last bill of Rs. 1750.00, however they are generating the bills for the month of Apr'13 for Data Usage charges, howcome they can generate the bill when im not using their services.
As per my plan i was entitled for 5GB free data usage so in any case they can not charge for internet.

Moreover, they have barred my services due to same reason.

Please guide me where i can sue them and how. Now i want to register a case against this fraud and trouble im facing due to my number is barred.

Please suggest me.

Networking remain always busy since 15 to 20 days

I A. K. Bharti working with Central Bank of India as Assistant Gen Manager at Nehru Place Branch. My mobile no. is 09999917106 since last 15 to 20 days neither incoming call is is received nor out going call is done from this number inside my branch. The network always remain busy. Please do something.

Bills Not Recived

Dear Concern,
My name is Supriya Lamgaday and i have been using the Vodafone Postpaid services for my mobile since may be last 4 to 5 months, but till now i have never recived my bills neither a hardcopy nor any through mail. I had shared my same problem with the customer care executives of Vodafone but they do not seem to care. Every month they send me messages and emails that only reads the huge bill amount but not the bill details. Kindly help me out through this.

Deactivation Without Information & What Next, When Service Provider Like Vodafone Doesn't Respond?

Dear Forum,

This is an Open Letter requesting assistance and advise on following points wrt Telecom Service Providers Like VODAFONE In India:


Whether there is any statutory body which looks that theoretically structured complaint resolution mechanism responds to customer's concerns and resolves them?

What action should be taken if the complaint has been laid but not closed?

What action can be taken against a Service Provider which simply starts ignoring your emails and interactions, and DOESN'T respond?

Is there a set timeline defined for Service Providers to resolve complaints and assist customers?

What is the Service Provider's obligation towards their customers? Or is it that they have been given the right to skim and discard customers when to not being able to milk further.

Who bears the consequences for losses suffered by customers due to Service Providers deactivating numbers on one pretext or the other without prior communication?


Answers to these questions have now become important for me, since VODAFONE DELHI NCR customer care, and Nodal Office have selectively and jointly chosen not to reactivate my 9xxx360000.

A number which has been in existence for the last 10 years+ and which is also a VIP number.

Why would a customer using such a number not intend to retain it? Didn't such thought crosses their minds (it's basic human intelligence, which I hope Vodafone officials have, I Hope!).

Wouldn't Vodafone have been a much better and a customer-centric company, had it tried to send a simple email seeking consent or clarification on the same email ID where they have been sending bills and statements for the past 10 years PLUS?

Moreover, reason why my number was disconnected is because there is lack of coordination between their internal departments namely Customer Care & Retention, finally the brunt of which is being faced by me. A poor, meek, ordinary, one of the many "Customers" using Vodafone for one reason or the other. For obvious reasons, like no daily clamour at their stores, or sitting through out the day in hope that one day somebody old feel empathetic, they chose not to respond or react my number.

The only reason WHY, I can assume for Vodafone not responding is because I mentioned that I am abroad. This would have certainly made them comfortable that I cannot create any scenes or issues being (1) An Individual and (2) Out Of The Country

Please advise,


Does living out of India, takes away my right to be treated and responded in an equated manner as all Indians?
Does it mean that People who move abroad to work can be treated, in any manner as Vodafone deems?
Does it give a right to Vodafone to start deactivating Post Paid Phone connections without intimation and at their sweet will?


For records, I do not owe any amount on either of my numbers (whether the one I was using or the one I requested to deactivate on 27 Aug 2012). Against this complaint, I was given an SR number 430271349 but everything went into a COLD STORAGE after that last mail from Nodal Office. Now there is NO response either from Nodal Office or Customer Care or Apellate Authority.

It seems that entire Vodafone Delhi NCR team has gone off on a vacation without mobile or data coverage.

Looking forward to your advises, suggestions and comments which can guide me to organise correct steps.

Overbilling / Lack of Customer Support

I have been a regular user of Vodafone for the last 2 years. I have been paying my bills on time too and my average bill is about Rs. 2,000 – Rs. 3,000 per month.

On March 21, 2013, I received a bill from Vodafone amounting to Rs. 17,438.05. I was shocked on receiving a bill for that amount because neither have I made calls that substantiate that kind of amount, nor have I travelled internationally to incur any roaming costs.

On checking the bill, I discovered that I have been billed heavily for my internet usage, for which I already have a 3G pack from Vodafone. I understand there is a cap of 8GB per month, but the usage for which I have been billed is actually impossible to achieve. Let me explain:

According to the above sample, in less than a minute (54 seconds), I have consumed 152MB of data – this would translate into a speed of 3 MB per second or 24 megabits per second. That is impossible.

There are several such instances in the bill, which I am sure if checked from Vodafone's end, they will realise that I have been overbilled erroneously.

I have sent them several emails requesting Vodafone to take a look into the matter and correct the bill to arrive at a quick and smooth resolution to ensure I can make my payment on time and avoid the late payment charges. I am unable to pay such a high amount, especially since I have not even consumed the items I am being billed for.

However, their customer service has not just been unhelpful, they have actually been cruel. I have been assigned a Relationship Manager who refuses to pick up my calls now.

I have sent them at least six emails, finally begging them to just give me a complaint number so I can follow-up with the Nodal Officer and the Appellate Authority, but they have not even issued me a complaint number, and EVERY SINGLE TIME their reply is standard and automated - you have been billed correctly, we have checked your usage.

Excuse me, but I can actually prove that it is IMPOSSIBLE to use 152 Megabytes of data in 54 seconds even on your 3G connection.

They have absolutely no intention of resolving the issue. I know eventually they are going to hire goons to harass me and send me legal notices through random lawyers to browbeat me into paying them the entire sum.

This is nothing but extortion and blackmail by Vodafone. Absolutely ridiculous customer service. I hope this gets heard or read by the right people.

with my bill that my mobile bill is very high approx 5298/- (monthly charges - 488. Internet Charges -4755) I don’t think that I have used the same because I already activated 98 plan in which i get credit limit is 2500/ month than how come possible to cross that limit. and i also not get any type of intimation or information for the same.

Sir I am not able to pay 5298/- as this is very big amount for me. So

I (9717185822) switched to Vodafone from Airtel almost 6 months back withe a believe that i will be given better services, but it ruins my expectations.

I own a corporate plan on my number with a data plan of [email protected] Rs. Unfortunately, I lost my phone and i temporarily inserted my new SIM (which i got from Vodafone Store) in Blackberry Handset.

I was using the default services on my BB handset without using any Blackberry Application. I was just browsing through Internet using default settings and BB browser assuming that my existing packet data plan is still working.

I was shocked after receiving my BILL which carries almost Rs 800 charges of Internet. I called up customer care, followed up on email, visited Vodafone Store (Lazpat nagar) but they all seems to defend there point without listening to my view point. They all said in rude tone that your amount will not be refunded and i am charged correctly.
